Experience in the industry
Joanne began working in the venue operations departments in 2008 and graduated from Temple University with a Tourism and Hospitality Management degree. Joanne shifted to strictly event planning, detailing, coordination and operations in 2014 where she planned corporate and social events. Joanne strongly believes that having the background in operations and a wide range of events gives a planner the strength in knowing what can be done, what should be done and what you have to do to run a successful event.

Most Favorite Part of Event Planning
Joanne’s passion in the industry is creating the event that was envisioned by her couples – and that can only be done with great communication and comradery with her vendor team. Joanne thoroughly enjoys meeting new people, learning how they work, what limits there are and being creative with a team that all has one goal – to make their clients happy!

Event Pet Peeve
Events not running on time! As someone from the world of food and beverage, it has been instilled with Joanne that timing is key. When vendors (or long speech givers) who have pushed their time limit, it is Joanne’s mission to get it straighten back up immediately. It is extremely important to Joanne that the food you paid (a lot) to be hot, fresh and not rubbery from sitting in a hot box!

Most Favorite Part of Event Planning
Elizabeth’s favorite part of event planning is creating memorable moments. Seeing a client and their guests happy at the end of the event is the best feeling ever for her. Elizabeth enjoys getting to know her clients throughout the planning process. She feels that when she can connect with her clients on a personal level, she can bring out what matters to them the most on their big event day.

Event Pet Peeve
Elizabeth’s pet peeve is vendors who are not professional and do not display teamwork with the couple, which ultimately impacts the guests and couples experience. It ultimately boils down to anything that gets in the way of the couple having the best day possible!
