Who We Are
About The Team
J: My passion in the industry is creating the event that was envisioned by my clients – that can only be done with great communication and comradery. As a planner and coordinator, being the middle person comes naturally as I sincerely enjoy meeting new people, learning how they work, what limits there are and being creative with a team that all has one goal. Being able to orchestrate the work to make a vision come alive for a client is what makes event planning so fulfilling.
E: I began my career in the wedding industry in 2014, and have been planning special events at venues throughout the DMV area ever since. I have a vast background in Catering and Hospitality and enjoy assisting clients with bringing their vision to life. I also teach in the Hospitality and Tourism Management Graduate and Undergraduate programs at George Mason University and Virginia Tech and enjoy bringing my practical event planning experiences into the classroom.
M: I am passionate about crafting unforgettable events! I work to emphasize my client’s vision & find the flexibility to go beyond traditional setups so we create something unique & ensure my clients can truly enjoy an event that reflects them & their story. I take pride in working to ensure each event runs smoothly by identifying & anticipating potential issues. I love a good contingency plan & believe it is vital to remain calm under pressure. This helps to solve any problems so they don’t stay problems, but rather become opportunities. I believe this is crucial in our line of work.

If you have your venue booked and budget plan in place already but don’t know what the next steps are, let us guide you with all the right questions. We will help you lock in the remaining vendors, while ensuring a smooth planning process, so you can focus on your day-to-day responsibilities.

Month of Planning
You may be at a place where a month of planner would be able to help tie up all the remaining loose ends. We will attend your walkthrough, develop a thorough timeline, and draft a diagram as needed. You can count on your month of planner to square away any missed details with you and your vendors!

Day of Coordinator
This is best suited for couples who has everything planned, unpackaged, assembled and are looking to be able to enjoy their big day without hassling their friends and family to get things set up and monitored. We will help you wrap up all details with thorough questions and ensure everything is accounted for in the days leading up to your wedding!

Joanne was the "day of coordinator" for our wedding this past weekend. She was simply the best coordinator I could have asked for. She went above and beyond to make sure all details and decorations came through on our wedding day. She had excellent communication with other vendors leading up to the wedding and on the day of. She checked in with me multiple times throughout the planning process to make sure everything was set for the big day. She also offered to help with any last-minute details I was struggling to finish (ie, making bar signs, designing a welcome sign, etc). She even picked up on all non-verbal communication going on in the room, understood what we wanted, and made all dreams come true.
Joanne was so great to work with when we were planning our wedding and we can’t recommend her enough. She was helpful and responsive and supportive and efficient and positive from start to finish. Joanne is absolutely incredible, without a doubt the reason our wedding went as smoothly as it did. Throughout the process she was super on top of things, and quickly answered any questions I had (even if they were really silly, she never made me feel dumb for asking) and was so so kind and wonderful especially while dealing with a sensitive situation we were dealing with while planning. Throughout the wedding and the next day at brunch we had several guests come up to us and mention how great she was at keeping things right on time and was kind and helpful to everyone she interacted with.
We could not have asked for a better “day of coordinator”. From the moment we booked with Joanne, even with just “day of” she was present, flexible, responsive, and was always ready with answers to our questions or helpful suggestions. The morning of our wedding, my now husband, forgot to pick up part of our order from a vendor and Joanne noticed the mishap, and ran out herself to pickup the left behind item. Joanne absolutely goes above and beyond, which was noticed by all of our guests, as they’re still sending messages of how on it she was, how hard she was working, and how she kept to the timeline but was flexible when needed.
We selected Events to Woo to help with our month-of wedding coordination, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for wedding services. Joanne and Margaret were very professional, organized, and just all around wonderful people. It's hard to describe all of the things that they did, both large and small, to really make our wedding amazing. From giving us great ideas and recommendations, to driving to a far away store for us the day of our wedding, they exceeded our expectations. I hope more people can have the opportunity to work with these lovely ladies and their great company.
