Willard Hotel | DC Wedding | October 21, 2021
Creating timeless, elegant, and effortlessly luxurious weddings that leave a lasting impression.
As a wedding planner in DC, I have had the honor of working with many wonderful couples, but Adam and Lindsay’s wedding at The Willard InterContinental was one of the most elegant and memorable events I’ve had the privilege to coordinate. When couples choose a luxury wedding venue like The Willard, they are looking for an experience that is timeless, sophisticated, and seamless — and this wedding was all of that and more.
From the very beginning, Adam and Lindsay had a clear vision of what they wanted: a wedding that felt classic, refined, and full of joy, surrounded by family and friends in one of Washington, DC’s most iconic spaces. As their day-of coordinator, it was my role to ensure that every detail they had carefully planned came together smoothly, so they could relax and fully enjoy their day.
One of the standout aspects of working at The Willard is the incredible staff. The level of service and professionalism they provide is truly five-star. Their team was attentive, polished, and gracious — anticipating needs before they even arose and handling every detail behind the scenes so that the couple and their guests experienced nothing but celebration. It makes such a difference as a DC wedding planner to work with a venue that operates at such a high level of excellence, and I can’t say enough about how The Willard’s staff contributed to the success of Adam and Lindsay’s wedding day.
Equally important to the success of any luxury wedding in DC is the vendor team, and for this wedding, we had an exceptionally talented group of creative partners. From the floral design to the photographer, entertainment, and catering, every vendor brought their A-game. I always say that a strong vendor team is key to creating a flawless experience, and this was a perfect example. Everyone communicated effortlessly, collaborated with respect and creativity, and worked toward the same goal: bringing Adam and Lindsay’s dream wedding to life.
As a day-of wedding coordinator in DC, I often meet couples who are handling so many details on their own and just want peace of mind that everything will come together on the big day. For Adam and Lindsay, it was so rewarding to take the reins on the day of the wedding and ensure that all their hard work and planning were honored. Watching them relax, laugh, and truly savor every moment with their loved ones was a reminder of why I love what I do.
To anyone planning a wedding in Washington, DC — whether you’re dreaming of a luxury hotel wedding like Adam and Lindsay’s or an intimate celebration in another unique space — my goal as a wedding planner and day-of coordinator is always to make sure your day unfolds beautifully and stress-free. It’s an honor to be part of such meaningful moments in people’s lives, and I’m so grateful to have been part of this incredible celebration.
